Introduction

fly to moon

Hi all, as stated in the description of this blog, I am just an ordinary guy working a day job, trying to make enough cash to pay the bills. I never thought of investing in cryptocurrencies until I came across with a project named Bitcore. It is a project that makes me think a cryptocurrency can really be our future payment solutions in term of practicality. But, I am not here writing to promote Bitcore. If you are interested to learn more about this cryptocurrency, you can visit their website here and have a look at their white paper and road map.

So, I was interested in investing in Bitcore, but I was too tight on cash to either buy/trade or mine the cryptocurrency. And I was not prepared to risk my hard-earned cash on a virtual currency either. That’s when I started searching for ways to get my hands on the coins for free, and thanks to Google, I discovered faucets.

Faucets are websites, generally full of advertising links, which allow us to earn small amounts of cryptocurrencies by viewing ads and solving anti-bot captcha. We need to invest nothing but only our spare time. Some of these websites also have features like webminer, offerwalls, PTCs, games etc. for us to earn extra coins in addition to claiming from the faucet regularly.

Faucets will not get us rich overnight but they do offer us an opportunity to earn Bitcoins and Altcoins which will earn us money when its value appreciates in the future. And there is every possibility that we can make a decent amount of side income if we manage to build our referral network up. Yes, you heard me right, a referral network. Almost all faucets have a referral system in place, where we will be rewarded with a portion of our referrals’ earning. So, actively engage others to come on board whenever you come across with a good faucet. Don’t fight the battle alone!

However, not all faucets are legit and worth our time. Some of these sites are just scam. Therefore, in this blog, I am going to provide you with a list of trustworthy faucets which I have tested myself. And I am also aiming to share my personal experience with those faucets and tips to earn more effectively and effortlessly on a site by site basis here. You can access my faucet list here.

Before you get started though, there are things that you need to know and prepare, for example a wallet to store your cryptocurrencies. Here is a starter guide and recommendations written by my humble self. Please have a read before you start your captcha solving journey.

Testing -EldiClaim (Need Your Help)

Eldiclaim

This a newly launched Bitcoin faucet. There are 3 ways to earn for the moment:

1) 5-minutely faucet (solving one short link)
2) PTC ads
3) Offerwalls

The referral commission is 50% (Offerwalls earning not included).

Earning from faucet and PTC can be withdrawn instantly to Faucet Hub account if you have one. Otherwise, you will need to accumulate at least 10K Satoshis in your account balance before you can request a direct payment. Offerwalls earning and referral commissions are credited into account balance as well.

There is also a task list where we can earn some bonus after we complete all the tasks required.

Testing -BitsClicker (Need Your Help)

BitsClicker.png

BitsClicker is a new ads surfing site that allows us to earn Bitcoin. There are alot of ads surfing BTC sites available out there and it is fair to say AdBTC.top is the best among them all in term of pay out and surfing mechanism.

A lot of newer sites are trying to mimic the success of AdBTC.top but in my humble opinion, AdBTC.top is still wins by miles. I have tried a lot of them and I dare to say BitsClicker is the closest site to AdBTC.top we can get for the time being.

Why? BitsClicker provides two earning methods for the moment. One of them is the traditional “PTC Ads” method where we need to stay active on the ad pages until the timer runs out in order to earn. Another one though is the “Surf Ads” method. This is very similar to AdBTC.top ads surfing mechanism. We do not need to stay active on the ad pages. We can just do something else while waiting for the timer to run out.

Downsides: (I only compare it with AdBTC.top)

  • Relatively high withdrawal limit (15k Satoshis)
  • Lower pay out per ads (This is a new site, I really hope the pay out can be much better after it gains traffic and more advertisers.)
  • Limited ads per day (Same reason as above)
  • Using a captcha system which is slightly more complicated than the mathematics captcha used by AdBTC.top. Well, at least it is not Recaptcha and there is no captcha for “Surf Ads” currently.
  • Legit? Scam? Let’s see.

The referral commission is a pretty standard 20%.

Testing – CoinHeaps (NOT Worthy)

Update (14/10/18):

Hi all, due to a few recent negative updates, this faucet is not recommended anymore! Sorry for all the trouble that I have brought to you if there is any!

CoinHeaps

This faucet is live since August 2019. We can earn Bitcoin or simple get paid through Paypal from this site. There are currently 3 ways available for us to earn Bitcoin:

  1. Faucet: Claim every hour by solving one captcha. Current rate is around 30 Satoshis or lower.
  2. Games: Play games to earn Bitcoin. For now, there are 6 games for us to play. Play each game for 2 mins every day to earn 100 Satoshis per game. 600 Satoshis for 12 mins? Not too shabby.
  3. Captcha Mining: This is quite a unique system. There is no conventional captcha involved actually. Whenever, you start a captcha session, there will be a timer running. Within this period, your CPU power will be used for mining. All of the captchas are kind of short in period. Longer periods give us 25 Satoshis while shorter ones give 15 Satoshis. We can also earn some reward points along with these short mining sessions.

Reward points earned from captchas mining can be redeemed for Paypal cash or Bitcoin. We can also earn some points whenever our referrals solve the captchas as well.

There is also a leader board where top 20 of top earners of each month will receive cash rewards.

We earn 15% of our referrals faucet’s earning and 25% of their gaming’s earning as well.

Click here to register for this faucet!

Bonus code: 41920c6

Use this bonus code to get 1000 Satoshis sign up bonus. There is also currently a registration bonus of $10 where you can get after completing 500 faucet claims.

Minimum withdrawal amount is a bit on the high side at 30,000 Satoshis. However, it has been deemed legit by BeerMoneyForum. So, we should give it a try!

*Disclaimer: All the claim rates and bonuses are subjected to changes in the future.

Update (24/9/18):

  • 2 more games are added into the mix. However, the pay for playing games has been cut down to 25 Satoshis per game.

Update (14/10/18):

  • The registration bonus is cut down from $10 to $2.50. This is just bollocks!

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

ICO/Airdrop – Trakx Token (TKX)

TRAKX

This is the first time I am writing about an ICO in my blog. It is a little bit off topic in a blog about faucets, but it is closely related to the cryptocurrency industry anyway. And one of the most important reason I am writing this blog is because I think Trakx is a really good ICO project. Yeah, we all know that there are tonnes of ICO projects out there nowadays with most of them exist just to serve the pump and dump scheme. However, there are still gems out there with unique concepts and solid purposes. Trakx is definitely one of them.

Next, I will try my best to explain what Trakx does and why it is one the most promising projects I have ever rated. If you have some basic investment knowledge, then it will be much easier for you to understand what I am going to write later. First, I am going to explain about crypto trackers. Crypto trackers track the price of the cryptocurrency(ies) that act as their benchmarks in a form of digital tokens. This means that a crypto tracker’s value changes proportionally to the percentage change in the benchmark that it’s tracking. For example, if a tracker tracking the price of a basket of cryptocurrencies namely Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, the tracker’s value is going to increase or decrease following the value of this basket of cryptocurrencies. Let’s say if the price of Bitcoin surges, the tracker’s price is most likely to follow suit and increase as much if the prices of Ethereum and Litecoin do not drop too much. That was just a simple example I mentioned, things can be much more complicated than that but I hope you get a general idea on what a tracker does.

There are a lot of possibilities and potentials in crypto trackers. A tracker can track a basket of cryptocurrencies and the combination possibilities can be so many. A tracker can also be priced inversely against its benchmark. For example, if a cryptocurrency drops in value, the tracker’s value is going to increase proportionally instead. There are just so many investment options that crypto trackers can offer to us. For those who are familiar with the stock market, crypto tracker is pretty much the equivalent version of Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) in a stock market. While an ETF tracks an index, a commodity, bonds, or a basket of assets, a crypto tracker track the value of cryptocurrencies!

So, what Trakx has to do with crypto trackers? Trakx is going to provide a platform for the users to trade crypto trackers. The number of trackers available will be in one-to-one ratio to the reserve of cryptocurrencies that the platform is holding. Trakx is offering its own token, namely Trakx tokens (TKX) to be used in this platform to trade trackers. The launch of public crowdsale of TKX will be on 1st Jan 2019 until 31st Jan 2019. And they plan to list TKX on exhanges and launch the Trakx platform within Q1 2019.

Now, there is a bounty program ongoing for us to get free TKX before the public crowdsale. Join the program now before it is too late!

Faucet – Fire Faucet

Fire Faucet

Type:

Auto Faucet

Cryptocurrencies Available:

Monero, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Zcash, DigiByte, BitCore, Blackcoin, Dash, Peercoin, Primecoin, Potcoin

Registration:

Only email address is required.

Features:

  1. Auto Claim: We can claim up to 10 types of cryptocurrencies at one time under a single tab. Coins will be automatically sent to our Faucet Hub wallets or added to Fire Faucet balances at time interval specified by ourselves until our number of claims is depleted. The rate we are earning depends on our settings of payout mode and payout timer. (Note, you need to keep the timer page opened after you start the auto faucet. Do NOT close the page, open a new tab for any other activities in this faucet.)
  2. Setting/Payout Mode: We can choose between “faster” or “longer” mode. “Faster” mode pays twice as fast compared to “longer’ mode by utilizing our number of auto claims twice as fast at the same time. This enable us to earn more coins in shorter period of time. “Longer” mode is the normal mode where payments are made at  the rate of one claim at a time for each cryptocurrency that we choose.
  3. Setting/Payout Timer: Here, we can choose various time intervals for the automatic payout. Generally, longer time interval comes with higher multiplier to our earnings. We also have an option to set the payment to be made into our Fire Faucet account instead of Faucet Hub. With this option on, we can enjoy highest multiplier coupled with shortest timer.
  4. Shortlinks: We can solve various shortlinks here to replenish our number of auto claims.
  5. Faucet: We can earn number of auto claims here every 30 minutes.
  6. PTC: Here, we can view ads to replenish our number of auto claims.
  7. Daily Bonus: Click on the gift like icon to get bonus auto claims every day.
  8. Mine: We can mine hashes here using our spare CPU power. Hashes will then be converted to number of auto claims at predetermined rate. (Be careful not to overheat your CPU when you are webmining. Do NOT use this if you are using CryptoTab.)
  9. Activity Point: This determine how active we are in the faucet. We earn activity points by auto claiming, completing shortlinks, mining, claiming from faucet, viewing PTCs, claiming the daily bonus, and referring friends. Daily top 10 users with the highest activity points are rewarded with extra coins.

Withdrawal Options:

Faucet Hub

Minimum Withdrawal Amount:

None (can be set as automatically or manually).

Referral System:

Earn 1 Satoshi (Bitcoin) per 75 referred claims. We can choose to withdraw or convert to number of claims.

Tips:

  1. Always maximize your payout rate by setting payout mode to “faster” and payout timer to “10 minutes to Faucet Hub” or “1 minute to Fire Faucet account” unless you are struggle to replenish your number of auto claims. Both of the payout timer options mentioned above give same amount of coins for the same number of claims as their multipliers are exactly the same.
  2. You can earn much faster by choosing payout to Fire Faucet account as the timer is only 1 minute. The withdrawal from Fire Faucet account to Faucet Hub is instant upon manual request. Note that your number of auto claims will be depleting at a much faster rate when you choose this option. However, this can be compensated by lowering the number of different cryptocurrencies that you are claiming.
  3. Automatic payout to Faucet Hub can be a good option as well if you are trying to level up your Faucet Hub account. If you prefer this option, I suggest to claim as many different types of cryptocurrencies as you can since your auto claims replenishment rate can easily keep up with the depletion rate.
  4. Stock up your number of auto claims when you are free, this auto faucet is gonna run by itself while you are away if you keep the auto payout page opened and running.
  5. Theoretically, if you can mine using your CPU for long hours with no issue at all, you can keep this auto faucet up and running forever by syncing your auto claims mining rate to your auto claims depletion rate. Just keep your mining page and payout page opened. You do not need to do anything else to replenish your auto claims at all. (Be careful not to overheat your CPU when you are webmining!)

Comments:

Definitely one of the best auto faucets around! We can claim multi cryptocurrencies under one tab. We can also tune the payout settings to suit our needs. Plenty of ways available for us to replenish our auto claims as well. The only downside is the claim rates of certain cryptocurrencies can be quite disappointing. After all, we shouldn’t be too critical on claim rates of an auto faucet as the work required is usually minimal.

Another problem worth mentioning is the payout system of this faucet can’t quite handle the crowd of users for the time being. Most of my auto payouts to Faucet Hub fail with “Faucet Hub API Error” and those payments end up in my Fire Faucet balances. Even the manual withdrawals from my Fire Faucet account to Faucet Hub also fail more often than not with a message showed saying “too many requests”. I am not sure of which end this problem is coming from. It could be from the faucet itself or Faucet Hub. Anyway, I cannot blame the faucet for being too good and thus too popular for this kind of problem. For the record, I have been able to complete all of my withdrawals so far after a few more attempts.

All in all, work for minutes, and you are settled for hours. A must-have for casual users!

Testing – AltHub (Need Your Help)

AltHub

We can claim and mine 15 cryptocurrencies from this faucet for the moment including: TRX, XVG, DOGE, ETN, SYS, Ada, PURA, PINK, XLM, RDD, ETC, GAME, UBQ, PIVX and LTC.
Each currency has its own timer and claims limit per day.
Withdrawal to faucet hub is only supported for DOGE and LTC it seems. Others need to be withdrawn to private wallets.
This faucet has a leveling system. Not much info given regarding this. Another special feature called power claim also suffers the same. No explanation given.
There is also a daily bonus area where we can get more EXP and power claims. But sadly we do not know what these rewards do.
You can earn 20 percent of your referrals’ claims from this faucet.

Info is limited for the moment, I will update more after I get more familiar with it. Please share with me if you know anything extra regarding this faucet. It looks very promising with its well-designed interface and good claiming system.

lets try this faucet out together and gather more information regarding this fancy faucet especially its reliability.

For a try out, click here

I am testing on faucet hub pay out for the moment for both LTC and DOGE. Trying my best to reach the withdrawal limit. Any help will be much appreciated.

Update (7/9/18):

  • Power Claims is the loyalty bonus system. 1 power claim equals to 1% bonus on our claims. The maximum power claims we can get is 100%.
  • The leveling system has no function for the moment. But according to the owner, there will be an exchange service in the future that can only be unlocked at level 5 – 10 or so.

Update (8/9/18):

  • Two more cryptocurrencies added into AltHub: Ethereum Classic (ETC) and GameCredits (GAME).

Faucet – AdBTC

adbtc

Type:

Surfing Faucet

Cryptocurrencies Available:

Bitcoin

Registration:

Only email address is required.

Features:

  1. Earn/Surf Ads: We can earn Bitcoin from surfing ads available in this section. Whenever we begin a surfing section, the ads are sorted from the highest paying one to the lowest paying one. The “start” button for each ad floats around the page randomly as an anti-bot measure. After we click on the “start” button, the ad page will be opened in a new tab. A timer will be started as soon as the ad page is loaded. Do not close the ad page before the timer runs out. Once the timer runs out, the Bitcoin payment will be credited to our balance.
  2. Earn/Surfing in Active Window: In this section, there is a list of ads available for us to view in active tab. Once we click on an ad, the ad page will be opened in a new tab. We need to stay on the ad page “actively” until the timer runs out in order to earn.
  3. Earn/Autosurfing: Auto surfing is the easiest way to earn from this website. Once we click the “start” button, the ads available will be reopened in a new tab one by one automatically after their respective timers run out. The payment will be credited after the section ends.
  4. Advertise: We can advertise our websites and links here if needed.

Withdrawal Options:

Faucet Hub, Bitcoin Wallet, Xapo, Exmo, Payeer

Minimum Withdrawal Amount:

5,000 Satoshis (Faucet Hub), 30,000 Satoshis (Bitcoin Wallet, Xapo), 100,000 Satoshis (Exmo, Payeer)

Referral System:

Earn 7.5% of your direct referrals’ surfing earnings.

Tips:

  1. You do not need to stay on the ad page while the timer is running out unless you are surfing under the Surfing in Active Window section. Claim from another faucet or do whatever to your liking while you are waiting.
  2. Under the normal Surf Ads mode, we need to solve a captcha for every two ads we surf. I strongly suggest to set your captcha option to mathematical expression in order to speed up the process unless you really hate math so much.
  3. If you are free, revisit this faucet 2 to 3 times a day as new ads are added quite frequently.

Comments:

This faucet provides a very good earning to effort ratio. The earning process is pretty much automated and just needs a few clicks. Easy money I would say if you do not hate simple math. Highly recommended!

Basic Cryptocurrency Guide

blockchain

This guide is intended for those who are new to cryptocurrencies and wish to learn more about it before they start claiming free cryptocurrencies from faucets. First, we need to understand what blockchain technology is about as the whole concept of cryptocurrencies is built on the blockchain foundation.

Blockchain is a digital and decentralized ledger that can record all transactions of anything with a value. This ledger is transparent and can be assessed by anyone through the internet. The reason why blockchain technology was developed is to exclude the involvement of a third party in transactions i.e. decentralization. This enhances security and privacy as third parties are prone to error and corruption no matter how trust-able they are. Time and cost are both saved as well if there is no third party involvement.

The records kept in a blockchain are called blocks. Each block is connected to the previous block with a time stamp. So to modify any single transaction block, we need to alter all of the subsequent blocks as well. This is simply impossible to be done unnoticed and without consensus. Hence, blockchain is resistant to modification unlike traditional ledger.

Cryptocurrencies are developed utilising blockchains to record their transactions. For traditional currencies, we rely on banks as third parties to record and facilitate our peer-to-peer transactions. In the case of a cryptocurrency, all transactions occur through the blockchain and unlike a bank, blockchain is decentralized and not controlled by anyone.

Each cryptocurrency has its own blockchain i.e. public ledger. To use a cryptocurrency, we need to create a wallet linked to the blockchain. This is called blockchain wallet and intended for use of that particular cryptocurrency. For example, Bitcoin wallet is used for Bitcoin transactions. Blockchain wallet is a private wallet which can only be accessed by the user.

To avoid confusion, microwallets we use to store cryptocurrencies claimed from faucets are not blockchain wallets. Microwallets are third parties just like banks to ease payment transactions from faucet owners to us. Some faucets do facilitate direct payment into blockchain wallet. However, we need microwallets for their exchange services as it is not possible to convert one cryptocurrency to another using only blockchain wallets for the time being. If you ever try to force a transaction from let’s say a Bitcoin wallet to an Ethereum wallet, it will only result in a transaction error and you are going to lose the amount of Bitcoin carried with the transaction.

Here is a diagram to ease understanding of the payment process from faucets to us, the users.

Payment processSince microwallets are third parties , it is important for us to use just the ones with good reputations. Check this blog out to see which microwallets are safe and reliable.

Faucet – Cointiply

Cointiply

Update (7/10/18):

A new multiplier game has been added into this faucet.

Learn how to play this provably fair game by visiting the link below.

https://cointiply.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/36000092012-how-to-play-the-cointiplay-multiplier/

Type:

Hourly Faucet

Cryptocurrencies Available:

Bitcoin, Dogecoin

Registration:

Only email address is required.

Features:

  1. Faucet: We can claim random amount of Coins from the faucet every hour by solving one captcha each time. Coins can be converted to Bitcoin or Dogecoin upon withdrawal. The value of Coins is fixed at 1000 Coins = 0.1 USD. We have a chance to win the lottery every time we claim from the faucet.
  2. Loyalty Bonus: We earn 1% bonus which builds up for every consecutive day that we make at least one faucet claim up to 100%. This bonus applies on every faucet claim we make.  (Note that if we miss one day then our loyalty bonus will reset back to 0%.)
  3. Games: Wide selection of simple browser games available for us to play to earn Coins based on our activity bar. (Note, I am experiencing bug in this section on my account where my activity bar just won’t reset.)
  4. Videos: Watch videos and earn Coins!
  5. Offerwalls: This is where we can earn Bitcoin by completing various tasks such as surveys, ad clicks, video watching etc..
  6. Mining Game: A game where we build up mining power by purchasing and upgrading  buildings using Coins. We compete with each others to earn Coins from two pools (primary and secondary) based on our ranking. Primary pool benefits only the top dogs while much lower ranked players can earn Coins from secondary pool based on their mining power in proportion to the total mining power of all players. The payout is credited into our account every hour automatically. There is a in-game currency called Gems. Gems are used to boost our mining efficiency. We can claim Gems hourly from our building. There is an option to switch the whole faucet into Gem Mode where we can earn Gems from everything we do in this faucet. Gems can be sold for Coins and vice versa. (Note, this is just a game, it does NOT harvest our CPU power.)
  7. Multiplier: This a simple provably fair game where we can multiply the amount of coin that we wager. (NOT recomended! If you have the luck then well..)
  8. PTC Ads: This is where we can earn Coins from viewing ads. We need to stay on the page until the timer runs out and solve one simple anti-bot captcha.
  9. CPU Mining: We can mine Coins in this faucet using our spare CPU power. (Be careful not to overheat your CPU when you are webmining. Do NOT use this if you are using CryptoTab.)

Withdrawal Options:

Faucet Hub, Bitcoin Wallet (Blockchain), Dogecoin Wallet (Blockchain)

Minimum Withdrawal Amount:

35,000 Coins (Faucet Hub), 100,000 Coins (Bitcoin Wallet), 50,000 Coins (Dogecoin Wallet)

Referral System:

Earn 25% of your direct referrals’ faucet claims and 10% of their offerwalls’ earnings.

Tips:

  1. Try to claim at least once a day to avoid reset of loyalty bonus.
  2. Earn from the Videos and PTC Ads sections, it is easy and fast.
  3. The mining game pays handsomely and automatically but I do not recommend latecomers to join the fight anymore since you will be lagging so far behind. Significant investment needs to be done in order to gain a fraction of the pool and the return could be so low. I honestly do not think the initial investment is worth it anymore for latecomers but I could be wrong. Anyway, I do encourage you to purchase at least one of the cheapest building available and claim the Gems hourly. By this way, you can still benefit from the game since Gems value to Coins is gradually appreciating as the competition among veteran players intensifies.
  4. Explore the offerwalls to see if there is anything suits your taste. Various tasks and offers are available. Some can be tedious and boring but they do pay handsomely if you can complete them. Some might find it difficult to have a survey or offer matched due to geographical reason or incompatible device. If you are having difficulties earning from offerwalls, this guide here might be able to help you out.
  5. There is an option to become a premium user, check it out to see if you need it.

Comments:

Hourly faucet is not very demanding and thus suitable for casual clickers. Wide range of options available for us to earn from this faucet and so hard workers can thrive in this faucet as well. It also has the most extensive offerwalls I have ever seen among faucets. Cointiply is definitely one of the highest paying faucets out there with a reputable record. Highly recommended!

Faucet – Yannik.biz

Yannik

Type:

Gradually-filled Faucet

Cryptocurrencies Available:

Bitcoin

Registration:

Only email address is required.

We can claim as frequent as we like up to every 10 minutes to enjoy higher refill rate. Only one captcha needs to be solved per claim.
  2. Loyalty Bonus: We earn 1% bonus which builds up for every consecutive day that we make at least one faucet claim up to 100%. This bonus applies on every faucet claim we make.  (Note that if we miss one day then our loyalty bonus will reset back to 0%.)
  3. Game: Classic slots game where we bet using Bitcoin and have a chance to win jackpot. (NOT recomended! If you have the luck then well..)

15,000 Satoshis (Faucet Hub), 30,000 Satoshis (Bitcoin Wallet)

Referral System:

Earn 15% of your direct referrals’ faucet claims. However, you need to claim at least once within the last 24 hours to earn referral commission.

Tips:

  1. Claim as frequent as you can to enjoy faster refill rate.
  2. If you are busy, try to claim at least once a day to avoid reset of loyalty bonus.
  3. For the moment, there is a bounty bonus of 500 Satoshis offered to all registered users by just posting a feedback about this faucet here.

Comments:

A gradually-filled faucet which operates similarly to Moon Series and Bit Fun. We can claim whenever we like and the amount of coin that we can claim is accumulating while we are away. However, the withdrawal limit is on the higher side and could take quite some time to reach if we do not have a decent referral network. Anyway, since it is a trustworthy faucet and has been paying since 2015/16, we need not to be overly concerned with the withdrawal limit. I certainly hope the owner can consider to lower the limit since Bitcoin price has increased substantially since then. All in all, it is a gradually-refilled faucet that requires minimal time and effort. Worth a punt!
